Honduras

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itE-k7hChWM
Brad got to go to Honduras last week on a mission trip with three other guys from our church. God did amazing things in and through the team. I won't even begin to try to recount the stories second hand, and hopefully Brad will write his own post eventually about the trip, but above is a link to a video from the trip!

And they had a little fun too! :)

2010 Family Photos

Just a few of my faves (I kind of have trouble narrowing down my favorites). If you're looking for a VERY reasonably priced photographer and live in the Houston area, our friend Karina is the best!

An Excuse Not to Cook

Brad says I'm getting creative with my excuses not to cook (as if E.Coli, sinus & bladder infections weren't enough), but I promise I'm not desperate enough to chisel away the glass in our oven, even though Brad swears he saw me hide the hammer right before he got home :) Really though, I was baking chicken on a baking sheet when I heard a loud pop. I racked my brain trying to figure out what "rule" I broke to cause this, but I got nothing. Thanks goodness for home warranties (praying it's covered)!

Yay Amy!!!

Not many people are special enough to have a blog post dedicated to them, but Amy is! AMY IS ENGAGED!!! Yay! Evan, thanks so much for letting us be part of the special night. It was a wonderful celebration and a great excuse to see some of our favorite peeps!

"I'll Make Money"

The other morning Grayson was wanting Brad to play with him, but Brad was trying to work.

Brad: "Buddy, I can't play right now, Daddy has to work."

Gray: "No work."

Brad: "Grayson, do you like living in this house?"

Gray: "Uh-huh."

Brad: "Do you like your room and your toys?"

Gray: "Uh-huh."

Brad: "Do you like to eat and wear clothes?"

Gray: "Yeah!"

Brad: "Then Daddy has to work and make money."

Gray: "I'll make money!"

Then he ran off to get his piggy bank and give it to Brad :)

Our Trip to Aggieland

Brad had a recuiting trip at A&M last week, so my friend Lauren and I decided to make a day of it with the kiddos. I asked Grayson that morning if he wanted to go to "Aggieland," and his face just lit up. I of course realized then that it kind of sounded like a theme park and that in his head he was probably imagining something a little bit more fun than College Station. After eating lunch at one of our favorite pizza places right off campus, Grayson asked me, "Go see Aggies?" I said "Yes, baby, these are the Aggies. Look everyone with a maroon shirt and this ring (pointing to my A&M ring) is an Aggie." He laughed and said, "No, Mommy." It made me wonder what in his mind an Aggie really was (since nobody really knows anyway :) Then, after I convinced him, he insisted on wearing my ring, which I was not willing to lose as we treked across campus, so I "made" him an Aggie "ring" out of a ponytail holder, which he wore proudly! Here are some photos from our day in Aggieland!

The kids were trying to steal the "good luck" pennies off the Sul Ross statue

Doesn't this one look like a "senior" portrait?

That's a "Gig Em" Aggies if you didn't catch the thumbs up

Yes, that's the Century Tree our kids are climbing on

I guess that means by "tradition" that Grayson is destined to marry either Hayley or Katelyn

We ended the trip with a stroll down memory lane. This is the "ghetto" duplex Brad and i lived in our first 6 months of marriage. If you're thinking the outside isn't that bad, I promise the inside was and our crazy (literally) neighbor made the experience unforgettable
